Edwardian Ball costume 3 - The idea for this outfit started with finding the green lace with silver thread. I used a metallic shimmery velvet for the skirt, and made the bolero reversible (all black in the reverse side).

Reversible “Handmaid’s Tale” cape, side 1; bonnet - This reversible Handmaid’s Tale cape is made of heavyweight red linen and has a hood. The bonnet is made with crisp white cotton on a wire and buckram frame.

Edwardian Ball costume 1 - The corset is fully boned, and the fabric is a dramatic and fun cotton. The bolero is reversible, with the inside matching the tulle apron. Additional details include lights in the bustle, in the apron, and along the skirt ruffle, and two flask sized pockets hidden under the apron. Custom, 2019.

Edwardian Ball costume 2 (detail) - Liquid silver fabric was the start of this project. Fully boned citadel corset, with reversible bolero with flounces. The inside fabric is a metallic floral pattern. I experimented with securing the bolero to the buttons of the citadel corset.

Add red velveteen and a liquid latex fabric for the corset and the apron, and it makes a beautiful ball gown. The bolero is reversible to black velveteen. Additional details include lights in the bustle and two flask sized pockets hidden beneath the apron.

Citadel corset - Found this fun cotton print and couldn’t resist. Fully boned, underbust in the front and comes up over the shoulder, leaving the breasts and decolletage exposed.
